WHEN ART AND FASHION MEET IN MOTION

In the magical atmosphere of the Žofín Gala Ball, where elegance, music, and visual art intertwine, a fashion show by designer Amelie Petrillo took place on December 2, 2023. This prestigious event, part of the Praguedance program, embodied sophisticated beauty and dynamic movement, with every element carefully composed into an artistic whole.

One of the evening’s highlights was the live fusion of painting and fashion—a unique visual composition came to life on the runway. For this occasion, a dramatic red cloak from Amelie Petrillo’s atelier was enhanced using airbrush techniques, perfectly accentuating the elegance of model Barbora Siváková, a semifinalist of Miss Czech Republic. Her back became a canvas for a live painting that, in harmony with her movement, lighting effects, and music, created a mesmerizing moment of the evening.

The entire show was accompanied by Bedřich Smetana’s iconic composition Vltava, whose flowing melody deepened the atmosphere and added an unparalleled emotional dimension to the event. Lights and mist enveloped the models in the hall as part of a thoughtfully designed scenography that emphasized the fusion of fashion design, performative art, and visual expressiveness.

In this moment, painting, music, and fashion design merged into a harmonious whole, transcending the boundaries of a traditional fashion show and becoming a true artistic expression.
